Sealed and Expunged Criminal Records
Sealed and expunged criminal records are not ordinary public records. A sealed case still exists in court custody but is hidden or limited from public access. An expunged or purged case is removed from ordinary public view and does not appear on AOC criminal record reports. In both situations, online guest search may not show the record even if a person remembers that the case once existed.
